He has founded, built and successfully managed/run Injury rehabilitation Clinics in Yorkshire, Cumbria and even in Italy!!
A varied career to date has seen him treating the general public while also working within the world of professional sport at national and international level. He has lectured at the University of Cumbria on the Sports Rehab degree. More recently since returning to the UK he has developed a reputation for working with our local young elite athletes competing at regional, national and international level.
Adam's founding ethos behind Stability Studio over 23 years ago remains as strong as ever. To create a clinic that could offer the whole package. A detailed assessment, correct diagnosis, first rate treatment and a speedy rehabilitation back to full pain free fitness and health. Adam has the experience, skills, qualifications and facility to do just that.
You only deal with Adam.
From initial assessment, through your treatments and finally into exercise therapy and rehabilitation. Stability Studio really is your one stop shop for pain free everyday life.
Adam's true underlying passion is educating individuals on developing health longevity.
He coaches the development of an Optimum Performance Pyramid. Firstly building a wide foundational base of functional movement, think mobility and stability, being able to move efficiently with control through full range of motion at all joints.
Secondly, He then prioritises functional performance, think strength and power production, being able to create coordinated strong movements using the full body.
Thirdly, the final block, putting all this together to create optimum activity specific skill. For an athlete that’s a full return to fitness and game ready. For the general public that’s having the skill set to do all you want to do in daily life without nagging movement dysfunction and pain.
Over the years Adam has come to fully understand the benefit of a mixed approach to gym/studio based strength/rehab development. He is a firm believer in a multi faceted system. He will program pilates reformer, TRX suspension trainer and traditional barbell and kettle bell exercises in one session.
Away from the clinic Adam spends his time in the great outdoors. A very keen distance walker and ultra-runner he can be found most weekends in the Lake District. If he’s not running up a hill he’s usually jumping in a lake as another great passion is cold water immersion. A love of biking developed during his time spent in Cumbria. He is happy to pack light on the bike and enjoy a few days (and nights in the tent) adventure touring long distance trails.
